Proud at O2 are the voice of our LGBT+ employees and customers. We fairly represent them through support, education and awareness, of challenges they face to ensure we continue to focus on what is important to them.

In 2019 we did our first LGBT history month campaign, where members of the Exec team took part in challenges based on key milestones in LGBT history to drive in-depth discussion, encourage openness and raise awareness.

We’ve helped HR launch a Transitioning at work toolkit in partnership with LGBT+ charity Stonewall. The toolkit ensures all of our managers are fully prepared to support transitioning employees, so we can continue to build an environment where all employees, regardless of their gender identity, feel comfortable coming to work and being themselves.

We’ve been attending Pride events across the country since 2013 as a way to demonstrate solidarity with our LGBT+ colleagues and customers and it allows our people to express their true selves. We are proud to be different and that’s why we love being part of Pride.  

We also collaborate with both the Women’s and BAME networks, to celebrate intersectionality and inclusion across all areas of anyone’s identity.

    I’ve always loved Pride and spent many happy times at Manchester Pride when I lived there but its never something I would have ever thought about doing with my young family. So when I was invited, along with my 5 year old son, to come on the O2 float I jumped at the chance.
