Devices is a really important part of our business. In fact, it’s the shop window for all of our products and services. From selecting the right equipment to testing it and taking it through to launch, if it’s the latest technology that pushes your buttons, this is the place for you.
Of course, once we’ve developed the devices everyone wants to get their hands on, we’ve got to get them to our customers. Our Supply Chain team look at the demand, purchase, customisation and delivery of all our devices, SIMs and accessories. Shipping over £1billion worth of kit to customers each year - a huge logistical operation – it’s all about building the right relationships with suppliers and staying one step ahead.
The phrase ‘Waste not, want not’ is a bit of a mantra for our Value Streams team. Finding out what our customers value most and setting up ways to deliver just that, the team question every process in every function to make sure we are as efficient as possible and that nothing we use goes to waste. Encouraging us to work smarter, the team have a big impact in driving change to deliver better results.
Our customer plan provides the direction for the business, highlighting what we want to do for our customers and how we can achieve this. The Business Solutions team provide advice, analysis and, of course, use their problem solving expertise to help us define and deliver the right business strategies. They also manage our IT investment capital.
And, when it comes to working with partners such as Tesco Mobile, it’s our Wholesale team who make sure everyone gets the most out of the relationship. Not only are they always there for our existing joint venture partners, the team are also always on the look out for new opportunities to grow this side of the business.
