What is it that makes O2 different?
Quite simply, it’s our culture. Every business has its own distinctive way of doing things, but we think ours is more distinctive than most. Why? Well, because right from the very beginning we’ve tried to do things differently so that O2 is always a breath of fresh air.
For starters, our culture isn’t one that’s based on hierarchies. We want to hear what everyone has to say. It’s a very flat structure and our Senior Managers are approachable and here to support their teams.
In fact, team work really is the key to our success. We like to mix things up so that people with very different perspectives can come together. That’s how new ideas are created – and new ideas are what our business constantly needs to keep us moving forward and succeeding in such a competitive and fast-moving industry.
Of course, because of the speed we have to turn things around, sometimes the pressure is really intense. We need to make things happen, but never want to compromise on quality. That can be a pretty tall order, but, amazingly, our people always deliver.
And that’s why we like to show our people our appreciation for all that they do. Hard work should always pay off and rewards are a really big part of our culture.
We want everyone to feel looked after and valued. That might mean getting the encouragement and support to take your career to the next level. It might be getting a flexible benefits package that fits with your lifestyle. Or it might be getting a one-off experience (like lunch with David Beckham) as a sign of our appreciation.
