If we’re not happy with the accuracy of our numbers or the integrity of our finance systems, it doesn’t get past us. After all, the entire business is dependent on it. Our teams cover Financial Control, Accounting and Reporting, Treasury, Credit & Risk Management, Collections and Revenue Assurance.

In each one, we ensure a sound control environment that’s fundamental to the framework for decision making to maximise O2’s performance.

The Treasury team manage our cash, through quality forecasting and finding opportunities to improve our cash position.

Billing and Payments

We want to deliver the very best customer experience – and the Billing & Payments team makes this happen. There are our data analysts, who make sure our bills are accurate. There are our accounting clerks, who make sure our payments are processed efficiently. And there are our strategists, who look at how bills and payments will look – and work – in the future. Together, they help make sure that the thousands of bills we send out each day are clear, accurate and on time, every time.

Internal Audit

Audit isn’t about hiding away in a back office somewhere doing secret things. We ’ll work with all areas of the business. Our people are effective negotiators, facilitators and communicators (as well as being fabulous auditors and accountants of course). Flexibility is a really important skill of our people  as
they move with the business to help identify risks before they happen.

Finance Support Teams - Commercial and Infrastructure Finance

Everyone needs advice they can rely on – and we rely on the guidance of our Finance teams. People value our advice right across the business, from Sales and Marketing to Customer Services, or in the Network and IT teams.

But analysing information and recommending the best options to the business is just the basics. By working closely with our business partners and by having broad industry knowledge, our Commercial Finance teams support decision making based on customer insight – meaning we can deliver the products and services our customers really want.

Our Commercial and Infrastructure (Networks and IT) Finance teams play an active and influential role in making our investment and commercial decisions to provide our Products & Services efficiently and effectively to our Customers.

Our teams work with the business to produce financial budgets and plans and produce regular performance analysis against our plans, focusing on the key issues, risks and opportunities.

So, in a nutshell, our Finance Support Teams enable the business to make the right decisions and maximise the value that we can create as a business.
