We are the primary provider of security services to Telefónica UK. We are responsible for security policy and standards and provide specialist security advice, guidance and awareness in the following areas: Fraud Management, investigations, crime prevention, IT & Technical Security, HM Government liaison & disclosures, Business Continuity, and Health & Safety.
Specialist IT and network teams help secure the company’s systems and networks and the information that is carried on them. Working with Property we protect the security of the Telefónica UK physical estate – the buildings and sites in which we work and which hold our equipment as well as the shops where we meet our customers.
Investigators also work with the police to identify and prosecute criminals who attack the company from outside.
But security also plays its part the development of new products and services and the Security by Design process ensures all new products and services go through a security risk assessment and then receive appropriate support from Fraud and Security.
The security operations team work directly to protect Telefónica UK customers from fraudsters and the misery of nuisance calls and texts.
Finally Fraud and Security is responsible for security policy and practice in Telefónica UK. This means we provide the support and guidance that all Telefónica UK people rely on to do their job securely. It also means creating the right culture throughout the company – a culture where security is seen as part of normal business.
