It’s important that we know what O2 stands for. Where we’re heading. What our customers want. And how we deliver that. Our New Business Development directorate gets to the bottom of all these weighty matters and more; providing a complete vision for the business.
It’s here that new are ideas are born and nurtured: for example, M2M, MVNO, O2 Money and O2 Media. All three are part of our drive to help customers connect. In other words, to offer people a wider range of services that link with existing O2 businesses. The decision to broaden our scope was made by our Strategy team. The team works closely with New Business, deciding O2’s overall direction and how new products and services fit into this. New Business then comes up with ideas (and business cases to support them). The successful ones are developed here in New Business Development, until they are big enough to stand on their own.
