My Journey…
I started working at O2 back in 1998 when the company was B.T. Mobile. For the majority of my career here so far, I worked in Corporate Customer Services in Leeds where I started as an Advisor and soon progressed to a Team Coach and covered as Team Manager for lengthy periods of time.
I’m now working as a Senior HR Recruitment Assistant in the Leeds Recruitment team and my main duties involve screening application forms, conducting interviews and processing offers for the Customer Service Advisor and Broadband Technical roles in Glasgow Skypark.
My journey within O2 has taught me that there are many opportunities to progress and lots of different areas of the business to experience.
When interviewing potential employees I’m now able to determine whether or not they have the required skills that the business is looking for as opposed to coaching and developing Advisors following their induction and classroom training, so I suppose I thought it would be a good experience for me to meet new candidates at the door, so to speak.
I enjoy the relationship I have with our candidates particularly during their offer stage. It’s always a good feeling when I warm welcome someone into the company following the formalities of the interview stages.
I like to share with them my happy experiences of O2 and the potential for progression and a fulfilling career that lies ahead of them.
